Asics GT-4000 4 Men's Wide - Blue Expanse/Cool Matcha

I’ve been using the ASICS GT-4000 4 Wide for a week now, mainly for treadmill runs and cardio sessions at the gym—and honestly, I’m loving them.

I have slightly wider feet and tend to overpronate, so finding a shoe that actually fits properly and gives me enough support has been a struggle. These tick both boxes. The wide fit is genuinely wide (not just a regular shoe with a new label), and they hug my feet without feeling tight.

What really stands out for me is the support. On the treadmill, my stride feels much more stable and controlled. I used to get ankle or knee niggles after longer sessions, but with these, everything feels better aligned—even when I’m tired or doing interval work.

The cushioning is just right too. Soft enough to absorb impact during runs or when I’m on the elliptical, but not so squishy that I lose my footing. There’s a good bit of bounce to them, especially under the midfoot, which helps keep things comfortable during longer cardio sessions.

Breathability has been solid—my feet haven’t felt overheated even during 45-minute sessions. And they look good too. The Blue Expanse / Cool Matcha colorway is clean and subtle, and I’ve had a few people at the gym comment on them (in a good way).

If I had one complaint, it’s that I wish there were more color options in the wide fit. But that’s a small thing.
